After the excellent first volume of the Harmony Collection, the Single Malt "Rich Cacao", The Macallan distillery proposes a new very limited edition: The Macallan Harmony Collection Intense Arabica. A whisky that celebrates the world of coffee, inspired by the flavours of the Arabica coffee bean from Ethiopia, known as the birthplace of coffee. Steven Bremner, Whisky Maker at Macallan, immersed himself in the art of coffee by hosting a Masterclass with world-renowned coffee experts at The Macallan Estate. He wanted to create an intense whisky reminiscent of coffee flavours and selected a combination of American and European oak casks to achieve distinctive espresso notes that were "especially smooth, but also powerful". The packaging for this edition was created from reused and recycled materials, including coffee bean pods.
